It was a huge honor to be part of the first Navajo Nation Missing Persons Day…

Multiple agencies across the state and beyond coming together to find solutions to a problem plaguing Native American communities.

Good morning and HAPPY SATURDAY my wonderful family, friends and supporters!

Today I will be speaking at the Navajo Nation Missing Persons Day Event in Fort Defiance, AZ. THANK YOU Chief Noon and Reycita Billie of the Navajo Nation Police Department for the invite, I am truly honored.

Today I honor and remember my brother in-law's Sister Laverda Sorrell who has been missing for over 21 years. It is my hope and prayer that she will be found so that her family may bring her home and be at peace. I also pray for all families directly impacted by this tragic issue.

Good morning my family, friends and supporters. Today, I am asking you all for a favor. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. The following is an email I received:

"DEAP Community,

As many of you may be aware, former DEAP student Gabrielle Roanhorse has been missing since Thursday November 10, 2022. Gabby was last seen in Navajo, and has not been seen nor heard from by her family since last week. The DEAP team is devastated by this news about our sister and are dedicated to helping ensure her safe return to her family as soon as possible. If you see or hear anything regarding Gabby’s whereabouts or have any other information that may help to find her, please let us know and call NNPD in Window Rock at 928-971-6111 or 928-971-6112.

We have additional posters for Gabby at the school; if you would like to pick some up to distribute, please come by. We will reach out about any additional information or organizing as we are made aware.

Please be safe, and take care of one another."

As a parent of a student who goes to school at DEAP, I am heartbroken to hear this news. As an individual who has been in the movement to bring attention and awareness of our women and girls going missing, I am frustrated and continue to be deeply concerned for our people. This needs to END. PLEASE HELP BRING GABRIELLE ROANHORSE HOME!!
