Congratulations to Windom Robotics Masked Bandits, Mynor Mendoza Lopez, Caelen Ralston, and Tristan Ralston on an outstanding job at the World Robotics Tournament! After they finished 11th in their division and moving into the 9th seed in their division eliminations, they bowed out in the Quarterfinals when they went up against the number one seed.
They finished in 11th place in the number one ranked division out of 10 divisions. For the Skills Challenge where they have 3 attempts to drive solo and score as many points in a minute and 3 autonomous attempts for the robots to self drive in a minute they placed 145th out of 511 teams who competed.
They represented Windom well in the World spotlight!

We enter the final day in 15th place with one match before alliance selection.

Alliance selection is, once the qualification matches are complete, the next task is to proceed with Alliance Selection, if the game configuration calls for an Elimination Tournament. Alliance Selection is the process of allowing the top qualifying teams(usually the top 16) at the tournament to select alliance partners to compete with them during the elimination rounds.

7192F Arrived in St Louis yesterday for the World Robotics Tournament. St. Louis is the new host city after the last few years of being held in Dallas. We spent the day exploring the city at places such as the St. Louis Zoo, the Economy Museum at the Federal Reserve, and the highlight of the day going 630 feet above St. Louis in the Gateway Arch. We ended the day at Sugarfire for some delicious local St. Louis barbecue. Today we begin the first round of matches.

After an incredible season and a runner-up finish at State, this group has earned the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the world — and we know they’re ready for the moment.

Windom Robotics will be at the Windom Farm and Home show today doing demonstrations and serving walking tacos. We will also be holding our annual raffle with lots of great prizes available for $20 per ticket with only 150 tickets available. Come meet the teams, congratulate them on a job well done at state, and help support our program as well as help raise funds for the Masked Bandits to compete at the World Tournament next month.

7192F Masked Bandits are going to World's!!
After teaming up with Red 40 from Adam's to become the number 2 seed in the finals matches they ended up facing the number one seed teams from Mankato in a best of 3 final match. Even though they fell in a tough 1-2 loss, they still were crowned Tournament Finalists which punches their ticket to St. Louis in April. Congratulations Mynor Mendoza-Lopez, Caelen Ralston, and Tristan Ralston!!
