Hello, and welcome to the newly founded WCC, or Windham Creative Citizens Collective. Below is the purpose of the Collective. I'm currently uploading a larger document that goes into much larger detail, and discusses these points at length:
Purpose:
In response to the vibrant cultural presence in the town of Windham, and in response to the current state of Windham's regional presence, the WCC d
efines its purpose as follows;
1. To provide a public space for citizens both young and old to create, perform, nurture, and educate;
2. To encourage, maintain, and protect local creative entrepreneurship in the town of Windham
3. To encourage, maintain, protect, and help foster artistic, creative, scholarly, and athletic pursuits in the town of Windham through the public space defined in purpose one, and through the encouraged involvement of local businesses
4. To encourage young college students to maintain involvement in the town while home for the summer by catering to their interests and providing them space to gravitate towards
5. To redefine Windham as a "Cultural" community, rather than a "Bedroom" community
6. To harvest summer tourism in a positive, enriching, and lucrative way through artistic, athletic, and scholarly events
7. To inform local town officials of our requests and demands as they arise and as they are discussed, and to build a presence at town council meetings
8. To provide our agricultural sector with creative opportunities to sell products
9. To keep the best interest of the town of Windham as the crux, forefront, and centerpiece of every issue that shall arise or has arisen.
