⛳️ 15 YEARS AGO TODAY (10/1/2012) was our 1st Annual Tee it up FORE a Veteran Golf Scramble!

That first year, we were not only scrambling on the golf course, but we were also scrambling just to find enough teams and sponsors. We had a big goal to hit $10,000 for Maine Veterans, but we fell just a little bit short. Thankfully, the amazing crew at Windham Weaponry stepped in to fill the gap and helped us reach our $10,000 goal! 🇺🇸

Fast forward to a few weeks ago on 9/14/2026, when we held our 15th Annual tournament. Just like year one, we were still scrambling off the course—only this time, it was to find enough room on the event shirts for all of our incredible sponsors and finding places for more teams!

📈 Over the last 15 years, we have now raised more than $300,000 for Maine Veterans.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has supported, sponsored, and played with us over the years. We couldn't do this without you! 🙌

🇺🇸 BREAKING: Tee It Up FORE a Veteran Releases Official Scramble Results from Monday 9/14

Spring Meadows — Under sunny skies with high Winds, strong swings, and at least three golf balls that may never be seen again, the 15th Annual Tee It Up FORE a Veteran Golf Scramble wrapped up with impressive scores and even more impressive stories.

🏆 TOURNAMENT RESULTS
1st Net — In the Woods (53.5)
Witnesses confirm they spent more time in the trees than the wildlife… yet somehow walked out champions.

2nd Net — Atlantic Elevator Inspection (54.5)
Their score rose smoothly and without incident — exactly what you’d expect from elevator professionals.

1st Gross — Crochere Enterprise (59)
2nd Gross — Team Denbow (61)
Both teams delivered solid performances and only minimal “creative interpretations” of the rules.🤪

Experts say these two have “elite keg‑seeking instincts,” a skill highly respected in the golf community.

Justin’s drive is believed to have crossed at least one township. Officials are still investigating.

One week ago today, we held our 15th Annual Tee it up FORE a Veteran Golf Scramble—and what an incredible milestone it was! ⛳❤️

Fifteen years ago, this event started with a simple mission to help out a fellow member of the Gray American Legion Post 86. When he told me that others needed the help more than he did, we didn't let that drive and motivation stall. Instead, we pushed forward, dedicated to helping Veterans and their Families right here in Maine.

Over the past 14 years, this event has grown into something truly massive: a full field of 152 golfers, a sold-out comedy show the night before with 150 people in attendance, and just over $270,000 raised. While we don't have the final official tally for 2026 just yet, I am proud and confident to say we raised over $30,000 this year—officially pushing our 15-year lifetime total past the $300,000 mark! 🪖🦅

None of this would be possible without our countless volunteers. No matter how big or small your role was, you made this happen. Thank you to the teams working behind the scenes putting goodie bags together and loading the trailer, the people out finding sponsors, the crews working the holes and passing out chili, the check-in stand team, the Honor Guards presenting colors, our singing of the National Anthem, everyone who set up and tore down the comedy show on Sunday and the golf event on Monday, and those who put together all the prizes and raffles.

The absolute best part of this is that we all live in the same incredible community.

To our participants: You come from all over! Thank you to everyone, from the folks who play golf 8 days a week 🤣 to those who only dust off their clubs once a year just to play in our event.

On this 9/11, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day. We will never forget.

As we reflect, we continue our mission of supporting Maine Veterans — the men and women who have stood ready to protect our nation.
