Our Van Drive Fundraiser is officially in full swing, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has pitched in so far. We are raising funds for a reliable club van to keep our Amazing Friends connected to the community.

Did you know that when individuals with special needs turn 22, they age out of the school system? Sadly, over 80% of them are left without affordable, accessible programs to meet their social and recreational needs. They are often left isolated at home, disconnected from the world.

But at Amazing Friends Club in Winder, GA, we refuse to let that be their reality.

Every single day, we provide a vibrant, lively social and activity club for incredible adults with mild and moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through our "High Five Approach," we ensure every member feels Welcomed, Loved, Connected, Purposeful, and filled with Joy. We build life and social skills, enjoy helping our community, love spreading joy, and make lasting memories.

But right now, we hit a major roadblock 🚧: transportation.

Our amazing friends have a right to be an active part of our community. They want to go on community outings, volunteer, visit parks, work on their skills, and explore the surrounding areas of Barrow, Jackson, Hall, Gwinnett, Clarke, Oconee, and Walton counties. Right now, our adventures are strictly limited by our ability to find available rides.

We are launching a drive to raise $35,000 to purchase a quality 15-passenger club van or bus.

Imagine the pure joy on our members' faces when they can all pile into their own club vehicle, sitting side-by-side with 14 of their best friends, singing songs, and heading out to serve their community or start a new adventure. A dedicated van means freedom. It means inclusion. It means changing lives because nobody gets left behind.

It has been an Amazing journey so far and we are incredibly blessed by our Amazing Friends!

We will also have other baked items to pick from as well.

When you purchase at the fundraiser, proceeds are going back to support our special abilities community at the Amazing Friends Club and Sweet Abilities Bakeshop.
