Feeding Barrow Feeding Barrow is a Barrow County School System program that is aimed at closing the hunger gap for food insecure students.

We partner with three non-profit agencies to provide weekend meals to students who would otherwise not have enough food to eat. Every week Feeding Barrow distributes sacks of kid-friendly food, enough for at least six meals, to children who might not otherwise have enough to eat over the weekend. Launched in January 2008, Feeding Barrow started out by providing weekly food sacks to roughly 8 students. Currently we serve 450 student each week with weekend meals. In addition we partner with Spirit of Sharing to provide a monthly mobile food pantry for any Barrow County resident in need.

Become a Sponsor. Change a Child's Story.

The New Path Back-to-School 5K is more than a race. It's an opportunity for local businesses, churches, and community partners to make a direct impact in the lives of students right here in Barrow County.

Proceeds from the race support New Path's Weekend Food Bag Program, which provides food to more than 450 students each week during the school year.

Sponsorship opportunities are available now, and we'd love to partner with you!

🏅 EVERYONE GETS A MEDAL! 🏅

We are so excited to reveal the official finisher medal for the 2026 New Path Back-to-School 5K!

Whether you run, jog, or walk your way across the finish line — every participant will receive a medal this year thanks to the incredible generosity of Karen Tillman, music teacher at County Line Elementary, who graciously donated them for our race. ❤️

And for those chasing a little extra competition… top finishers will receive a special award medal too! 🏆

Now that school is out for summer… it’s the perfect time to go ahead and sign up for the race that helps provide weekend food bags for local food-insecure students throughout the school year.
