Today our agriculture classes had the opportunity to welcome a special guest, Phillip Bell!
Phillip is a former student of our Career Teacher, Dr. Stewart, from nearly 20 years ago and has gone on to do incredible things in the agriculture industry. He earned his forestry degree from ABAC, became a Certified Arborist, and is now the owner of Ashwood Tree Removal.
Our students had the chance to hear firsthand about careers in forestry, what it takes to earn certifications, and how hard work and dedication can turn into owning your own business. It was a great opportunity for our students to see someone who once were in their shoes come back as a successful professional in the field.
Experiences like this remind us why agricultural education matters — it opens doors and creates real opportunities right here in our community.
