Tonight we brought back a tradition we've missed out on the last couple of years. In months where there is a 5th Wednesday we have a gathering for our Windcrest Fire Department and Emergency Management members and their families. Tonight, in bringing this back, we also invited our friends who have gone above and beyond in supporting us, and our partners on duty with the Windcrest Police Department. The bays were full of laughter, food, and games. We are grateful every day for the work we get to do serving this wonderful city, and those who support us in supporting the fire department.

We are so grateful for the help we received in pulling off our nearly month long fund raiser during Light Up. For those that stood out volunteering for us and with us, we are grateful. We look forward to making next year even better!

UPDATE: Light-Up Bike Night POSTPONEMENT - NEW DATE THURSDAY, December 18, 2025 🚲🎄

Join us on Thursday, December 18 at 8101 Midcrown Dr. for one of our most magical Light-Up traditions!

A section of Windcrest will transform into a bike-only zone, allowing riders of all ages to enjoy our beautifully decorated homes without the worry of cars. Road signs will mark the designated area, and affected residents will be notified.

We’ll have an organized bike route, but you’re welcome to explore the “bike-only” area at your own pace. We will have a shorter 2.7 mile route as well as a longer 7-mile extended ride with Windcrest Police support. Our ride will begin at 6:00PM.

Don’t forget to “Light-Up” your bike and make the ride shine! ✨

Did you know we're selling this year's Christmas Fire Shirt for $25 each? We have limited quantities in each size, if you're interested in buying one, you can come in person to the Windcrest Fire Station while we're filling the boot each night between 6 and 10 and purchase one. We do take cards, and and some sizes may not be available.

We are excited to be kicking off this year's Light Up season with the judge's dinner. We are grateful for the judge's who took time to vote on their favorite Light Up participant houses, and for the support of the city to facilitate the judging. Come by during light up to grab a map!

We are getting ready for the holiday season, which means our light-up season! This year we are looking to supplement our fire fighter volunteers each night with volunteers from the community that would like to support our fundraising efforts! We want to take a moment to thank our veterans! We recognize that many in our Windcrest Community served our nation in the armed forces, and for that, we are grateful! We also thank our members who served in the military. We are grateful for your service and sacrifice.

We will not be putting on a Haunted House this year. Thank you to those that offered to help, but we weren't able to secure enough help to pull it off safely. We appreciate your understanding, and appreciate the community's continued support.

We are curious, would any of our friends and followers be interested in helping us put on our haunted house? We could use help constructing and decorating a day or two before and staffing it the day of Halloween. We've heard from some in the city that they'd love to help us and we want to utilize that.
