FANSplash Please contact Winchester Recreation for any questions about the splash park. FANSplash's goal was to raise money for a splash park at Borggaard Beach.

This website is dedicated to recounting the history of how the splash park at Borggaard Beach came to be. In 2009, Winchester's Family Action Network (FAN) Board approved the formation of a philanthropic arm, called FANSplash. Despite the difficult economic climate, FANSplash raised an incredible $230,000 in a year, enabling the splash park to be built and opened by the following summer! This acco

mplishment was made possible by the vision, hard work and dedication of over 100 FAN volunteers and to the general FAN membership, who represented the majority of FANSplash's individual financial contributions. In fact, 80% of the private funds raised for the splash park were donated by FAN membership. In 2010, FANSplash officially gifted the funds it raised to build the splash park to the Town of Winchester. By making the splash park at Borggaard Beach a reality, The Family Action Network, through its philanthropic arm FANSplash (now defunct), created a wonderful legacy for the Town of Winchester and its residents. Please note that the Town of Winchester maintains full operational control over Borggaard Beach and the splash park; all questions about the park should be directed to Winchester Recreation at (781) 721-7125.
