๐Ÿงญ Den leaders โ€” this one's for you.

We know the hours that go into planning a single den meeting. Picking the right Adventure Loop. Building an agenda. Gathering supplies. Tracking who's done what.
That time adds up. We want to give some of it back.

The Shenandoah Area Council is rolling out Pocket Compass AI โ€” a Scouting-focused planning tool built specifically for Cub Scout leaders. It knows every rank, every Adventure Loop, and can help you build ready-to-run meeting plans in minutes.

Want to see it in action? Join us at our Popcorn & Program Kickoff on Saturday, May 30 from 2โ€“5 PM at Harmony United Methodist Church in Falling Waters, WV. Your pack's license is waiting for you. ๐ŸŒŸ

Meet Nathaniel R. - Troop 1957, Tenderfoot Scout, Age 12
Less than a year in Scouting. Already a Patrol Leader.
That says everything you need to know about Nathaniel.

As a homeschooled student and dedicated karate student (Blue Belt - just two steps from Black Belt), Nathaniel brings a rare combination of focus, discipline, and heart to his troop. He doesn't wait to be asked - he sees a need and jumps in. Whether he's mentoring lower belts on the mat or helping fellow Scouts navigate challenges on the trail, his instinct is always to serve.

His mom puts it best: "He no longer waits to be asked, but simply jumps in to help whenever he sees a need."

What makes Nathaniel's story even more powerful is the resilience behind it. Following the loss of his father, Scouting has become a place where he channels his strength into something meaningful - building the character and leadership his dad would be so proud of.

He's halfway to Second Class. He was chosen by his peers to lead. And he's just getting started.

That's the Scout Spirit in action.
Nathaniel - Shenandoah Area Council is proud to have you in our ranks. Keep leading the way.
