We had an incredible May at our After School Program! We had tons of outdoor time, amazing projects, sports activities, a bake sale where the 4-5-6ers raised $597 for Horizon for Homeless Children!

We also had an early release day where the classrooms went on some epic field trips! The K-1ers enjoyed playing and exploring at Danehy Park. The 2-3 Room played to their hearts content at Robbins Farm Park, and the 4-5-6 Room enjoyed a beautiful day exploring with their friends at Rockport!

We had such a fun April in our After School Program!

We began the month with the 2-3 Room performance of Rock Videos! The kids and teachers worked very hard on their songs all March and blew us away with their skills and confidence. The performance raised almost $500 for Comfort Zone Camp!

We also had our 7th annual Epic Night Out where we raised nearly $17,000 toward curriculum enhancements, field trips, and special performances for our students, as well as for professional development for our dedicated staff.

We had a busy April Vacation Week too! We enjoyed field trips to Xtreme Craze, Wheelock Theater, Ecotarium, Lincoln Park, Urban Air & Battleship Cove!

Overall, it was an adventurous and awesome month!

March was fantastic at our After School Program!

We kept busy all month and started to enjoy the time-change, warmer temperatures, and being able to play outside more!

We had three early release days in a row. Our first early release day was spent enjoying a performance from Trend in Motion. Students had fun watching and learning different dance routines. The highlight was the grand finale where one performer did a triple back handspring round off! This performance was made possible by the Creative Experiences grant from Mass Cultural Council.

On our second early release day, we strapped on our skates and gear and visited Roller Kingdom. The kids had a blast skating around to music, as well as taking a stab at karaoke.

On our final early release day, the whole program organized a western theme party day. All the teachers ran different stations for the students to explore. We had a station to make bolo ties made out of twine, buttons and beads. We played a few games, Wild West Show Down, Cattle Corral, and a ring toss game. We enjoyed some wild west themed stories around a faux fire pit with Mutzi, and we had a "Wanted" poster photo shoot booth. It was a great time!

The 2-3ers have been working hard all month long practicing for their Rock Videos performance in early April!
