Did you know the Miller's owned a drug store just down the street from their family home? Stop by Godfrey Miller Center to learn more about the Miller's and the ministry we do today!

This week's Out of the Archives features a photograph of Miller's Drug Store, probably taken in the late 1800s. Located at 105-107 N. Loudoun St. (now the home of Village Square Restaurant), it was one of Wi******er's longest running business operations.

At the end of this month, our Executive Director, Jason, will be leaving us. During his time in this role, Jason has made a lasting impact on our organization through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to our mission. We are grateful for the many ways he has helped guide and strengthen our community. We are excited for Jason as he begins a new chapter and pursues his next venture, and we will greatly miss his presence, vision, and friendship.

The Godfrey Miller Center, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has offered older adults a place to learn, laugh and connect with others through programs ranging from crafts to fitness since 1976.

Each month we continue to have a 50th Anniversary themed program. In May we held our 50 Years in Bloom Workshop. It was fun tapping into our creative side and using our green thumb to plant marigolds and golden creeping jenny!
