🐸 Our Frog Army keeps showing up!

A huge thank you to the Knights of Columbus for their continued support of Froggy’s Closet through their ongoing underwear drive.

New underwear is one of those everyday essentials that we are always working to keep stocked—and just look at this incredible collection! Boys’ and girls’ sizes, ready to help us fill requests as they come in. 💚

We are so grateful for community partners who don’t just help once, but continue to recognize a need and step up to meet it.

Boxes were just the beginning.
🎨 A little paint never hurt anybody. Still not saying where, still very much grinning about it — but we will say a huge thank you to Commonwealth Painting and Sherwin-Williams for donating the paint for this next chapter. 💙

Our friends at The Hideaway Cafe reached out with the sweetest idea: a "Donate for Dolly" book drive, honoring her memory through the cause she loved most — childhood literacy. Every new book collected (for kids under 13ish) is being donated straight to Froggy's Closet, and we are deeply moved.
Dolly spent her life making sure kids everywhere had books in their hands and stories in their hearts, through the Imagination Library and so much more. This drive is a small, beautiful way to keep that spirit alive right here in our own community.
Stop by Hideaway Cafe, drop off a book (or a whole bag), and you'll be thanked with a free cookie and coupon sheet. Can't make it in? Check out their link so they can shop on your behalf.
Every book handed to a child through Froggy's Closet is a little piece of Dolly's light, passed on. Thank you, Hideaway Cafe, for honoring her this way.

Sometimes the Frog Army grows because someone simply asks. 🐸💙
One of our board members reached out to Pete for a connection with the Knights of Columbus — just hoping to open a door. Pete didn't just make the introduction. He stepped up with a donation that let us turn around and purchase almost 1,000 pairs of kids' underwear, so we could start filling requests immediately instead of waiting.
And that was just the beginning. The Knights of Columbus are now running a drive to help us stock underwear for children in need — because everyday essentials shouldn't be the thing a family has to go without.
This is what community looks like: one connection, one "yes," and suddenly hundreds of kids have something new and their own.
To Pete and the Knights of Columbus — thank you for seeing a need and meeting it without hesitation. This is exactly the kind of partnership that keeps Froggy's Closet able to provide 7 days of new un**es to every request that come through our door.

While we’re closed, please do not leave donations outside the doors, as no one will be there to bring them safely inside.

A huge THANK YOU to Taffy for keeping Froggy’s Closet in mind while shopping and picking up clothing, underwear and toiletries that can go right back out to children who need them.

She picked up clothing, underwear, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and other essentials that will help us fill requests for local children and families.

First day of school jitters, meet your match: a full backpack, a fresh outfit, and a Frog Army that's got your back.
This week, area school students are heading back with new faces, new teachers, and (hopefully) a lot fewer "I have nothing that fits" mornings — because that's exactly what we work around the clock to prevent.
To every kid walking through those doors today: you are ready. You are prepared. You are supported by a whole community that believes every student deserves to start the year with confidence, not worry about having shoes that fit, pants that fit, tops that aren't two sizes too small . . .

💚 A heartfelt thank you to Christina Sanders with Carrington Homes for donating these beautiful reusable toiletry bags to Froggy's Closet!

These bags are more than just a way to carry toiletries—they help children receive their essential personal care items with dignity and organization.

The timing couldn't be better! Many of these bags have already been included in requests for our referral agencies and will be picked up next week, just in time for the start of the school year.

It's because of thoughtful donations like these that Froggy's Closet can continue providing not only clothing and essentials, but also confidence and hope to local children and families.
