Winchester Young Life This is the official page for Young Life in Wi******er, VA. Young Life began with a few simple ideas about sharing the truth of God’s love with adolescents.

Seven decades later, those simple ideas have become time-tested methods for reaching out to middle school, high school and college students in friendship and hope. Caring for Kids — Contact Work

What is it about Young Life club that makes it the best night of the week for
thousands of kids every week? We like to think of it as a party with a purpose. It's controlled chaos that's almost impossible to describe, but kids know it when they see it. And before the party ends, we share a simple message about God's love for them. After all, that's what the celebration is all about. The Best Week of Their Life — Camp

Kids consistently tell us that Young Life camp is the best week of their life. That's a rousing (and unsolicited) endorsement! But how else would you describe a week where deep relationships are forged in the midst of mind-boggling fun and where you experience and listen to what we believe is the greatest love story ever told? A Time to Question, Learn and Grow — Campaigners

Campaigners (a name that points back to the early days when Young Life was referred to as "The Young Life Campaign") is a weekly meeting for kids who wish to learn more or grow in their faith through study, service and leadership. Young Life leaders also encourage these kids to celebrate their faith through participation in a local congregation. Adults Who Care — Committee

Young Life is making a difference in the lives of kids around the world because we are supported by adults who care about kids in their community. For every talented Young Life staff person, there is a team of dedicated volunteer leaders who work directly with kids. In each community, the local "committee" — comprised of parents, Young Life alumni and civic leaders — provides a foundation of financial, administrative and moral support for the local Young Life team.

As we continue our push to grow our reach to adolescents, would you consider joining us? Did you know you can enable a YL leader to have a meaningful conversation with a teenager over a cup of coffee for less than $12? One of our leaders met 10 kids at a football game this semester. For $6.00 you can enable leaders to begin new relationships with students they'll meet!

Thank you to those that partnered with us on Giving Tuesday! We're so grateful for your support of our mission!

We're committed to sharing the Gospel with every middle school, high school, and college student in the Greater Wi******er area. You can join us in that endeavor by supporting our End-of-Year giving campaign which began on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by the close of the year to grow our reach to kids in our area!

Over the next four weeks, our invitation to you will center around the different aspects of Young Life ministry. This week, we're focusing on the bread and butter of YL ministry! We believe kids don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Young Life leaders invest their time and energy going into the world of kids to develop safe relationships with them in hopes of earning the right to share the Gospel with them. We call it contact work; kids just call it friendship.

We know you have a lot of options this Giving Tuesday. Would you consider partnering with Young Life in Wi******er and Frederick County by joining our Faithful 50? We're looking for 50 individuals, couples, or organizations to start a new monthly gift of $50 to Young Life. The total impact of this team of partners will be $2,500 a month, totaling $30,000 a year!

Our total end-of-year goal is $50,000. If 50 folks start a monthly gift today, we'll be more than halfway there!

Help us reach every kid in Wi******er and Frederick County with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
