GE Aerospace and its employees are commended for their exceptional organization of a Christmas party for the kids, which included a range of activities such as breakfast, cookie decorating, arts and crafts, games, and a selfie station, as well as a visit from Santa and a reading of a holiday story by Phil, followed by a facility tour.
Ps….we had a couple other little helpers who helped to give back, sang and helped Santa with gift passing 🎅🌲🎁

We are grateful for the outstanding attendance tonight at the 3rd annual Christmas Lighting. A special thank you to Rob Fuller and crew for arranging the displays and to those who contributed cookies and hot chocolate. We also acknowledge the workers who crafted Christmas ornaments as well. You are all exceptional people. It was a great evening.

Although the Wilson Children's Home levy didn't pass, we remain confident that our community will continue to rally behind these children. My husband Carl and I are committed to driving positive change through our No Limits Foundation, providing essential resources and life skills to empower these young individuals to thrive and reach their full potential.

The new building out back is coming along well. We are hoping that by April-May, the kids will be able to relocate to the new building, which will provide them with their own rooms and new living space.
So closer to April, we will be seeking to provide some new items for each child’s room. Additional details will follow after the new year.

We had the pleasure of taking some children on their annual horseback ride through the trails. While it was a first-time experience for some of the kids, they excelled with a little encouragement and positive reinforcement. We were thrilled to be joined by Molly, Hazel, and Harvey, the dogs that walk the trail with us. The fall ride through the woods offers quite a view of the changing leaves.

We would like to acknowledge the generosity of Star Greenhouse, who donated flowers for the Wilson Children’s Home sign by the road and plants for the garden boxes. Also, we are thankful for the kindness of two men, including Henry from the health department parking lot, who brought plants as they observed us planting the garden boxes. We had a great evening out at Rumble on the River. We would like to express our gratitude to Code Red Lawn and Landscaping and JC’s on the River for providing tickets for the children at The Children’s Home. This event supports the Karen Ballinger Foundation and we look forward to seeing the kids enjoy the wrestling match.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the GE volunteers who came to our facility to assist with spring cleaning. Their kindness extended beyond cleaning, as the guys also generously purchased three new TVs for the recreation room. The current construction project required the relocation of numerous tables and sports equipment, and the volunteers' efficiency and effectiveness were remarkable. Thank you to each volunteer for your time and effort today. Tracy, thank you for organizing the volunteer event at The Children's Home, which proved to be a huge success.
