🚧 Help Make Boone Avenue Safer! 🚧

The City of Wi******er has been awarded a $20,000 grant through the Complete Streets Leadership Academy to support a quick-build demonstration project aimed at enhancing safety on Boone Avenue.

This summer and fall, temporary street improvements will be installed to test new designs that improve safety and comfort for everyone who walks, bikes, rolls, or drives along Boone Avenue.

Our hope, is we may come together, to share perspectives and ideas that will support in building a stronger community. Results of the 2022 Community Health Survey and Photovoice project will be presented. Lunch will be provided.

NOW ENROLLING! We invite those who live and/or work in Clark County to share their perspectives on the health of our community using Photovoice.

Photovoice invites participants to take photos related to a chosen issue in the community. The photos and descriptions are then shared and discussed during a sharing session to explore ways to address the community health issues identified by the participants. Anyone who can snap a picture can do this.

Participants will meet once a week for 4 weeks for 1.5 - 2 hours and will receive a $10 gift card for each session.

UPDATE! Rain is coming, going, who knows, so here's the plan. Stop by and see us at the shelter at Melbourne for a hot dog and a craft, a drive-through pop-up! Come pick up the good stuff and take it home to craft and eat!

Melbourne Park always shows us a good time! Thanks to community partners Clark County Activity Coalition and Friends of Parks and Recreation 501c3, we'll see you TODAY, September 6th for our first pop-up event of the season! Games, toys, a fall craft and food! 4:30-6:30, we'll see you there!
