Eight years ago today, at just six days old, our amazing Charlie had his first open-heart surgery and his first of at least 17 blood transfusions. Seventeen different people helped save our baby over the course of his hospitalizations, and they don’t even know it. Tuesday kicks off the Catholics Care Blood Drive with the Kentucky Blood Center with donation opportunities at Catholic churches around Lexington.
