Item number 6 on tomorrow night’s agenda is one of the most concerning, “outside-pitches” to affect our department and city/county communities for a long time. It is highly reccomended for any and all of our members and supporters to attend this meeting to show an immediate disdain and complete opposition against this potential change. Cross Medical is providing a pitch to the Joint-EMS-Commission for a perceived proposal to take over EMS throughout the County-jurisdiction. Privatized EMS would cost the county less, but cost the citizens much more.

The Wi******er Professional Firefighter's Union Local 1807 is pleased to announce the recipients of the 4th Annual GRC Senior Scholarship. Congratulations to Lucy Kinney and Cynteah Patrick on being awarded $2500 and Ethan Tuttle for being awarded $5000. These winners were picked with the assistance of City Commissioner Hannah Toole and Chad and Jill Walker of the Engine House who read through and judged all the essays submitted by GRC Seniors this year.

This scholarship is unlike other scholarships in that it is awarded as a personal check to the recipients and can be utilized in whatever way they and their parents see fit to further the recipients' future educational ventures.

Lastly, the Local 1807 would like to give special thanks to Chad Walker and the City of Wi******er for both donating $5000 last year and to all the individuals and local business who also donated to our scholarship fund last year. Without this wonderful generosity it would not be possible for the Local 1807 to expand this scholarship in the way that it has. As part of this expansion, we also plan to pay for the tuition for three individuals who will be taking the upcoming EMT-B classes starting in July and August Wi******er Fire Department .

The Wi******er Fire Department Honor Guard had the opportunity to present the colors for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team at their home field Great American Ball Park on May 13, 2025. These gentlemen are also part of the Wi******er Professional Firefighters L1807. We are proud of the efforts and dedication these men have to our Honor Guard team.

The Wi******er Local 1807 partnered with the Wi******er Fire Dept is once again accepting donations for cleaning supplies to help the people of Eastern Kentucky who have suffered yet again from devastating floods throughout their communities.

PLEASE NO CLOTHES!
Other examples other than cleaning supplies include -
bottled water, hygiene items like soap and toiletries, first aid supplies, tarps, flashlights, generators, and batteries, baby supplies like formula and diapers

Please deliver all donations to one of three Fire Depts-
