The Girl Scouts of Wilderness Road Council invited all scouts who had sold over 1,000 cookies, during the 2023 cookie season, to a celebration at the Florence Y’all’s baseball game.

Eagle Scout, Herman Jacob Smith of Troop 56, was involved in the horrible accident on I 75 this past Sunday night. He is in critical condition. Please pray for his healing and recovery and pray for his family!

The Ayden Police Department has received reports that highly addictive substances will soon be circulating in our area. These substances go by names like "Thin Mints," "Caramel DeLites," "Peanut Butter Patties," and "Lemonades."

These substances are distributed by strong, smart, fearless young women who will lure you in with their good-cause story and get you hooked. Many people start with just one box, but one turns into two, two turns into five, and the next thing you know, you're hiding your stash in your freezer.

We want the community to know that we are here for you. We have set up a dropoff location for these "Girl Scout Cookies" at the Ayden Police Department, where our officers can dispose of them safely.

Congratulations to Emily Bennett on Earning her Girl Scout Silver Award. A Little Library has been installed at Stevenson Street. Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road Council Cadette Troop #5358. She built the library as her project for their Girl Scout Silver Award.

The Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette can achieve. Girls who have earned this award identify an issue they care about, develop a project, and put it into motion.

RIP to Girl Guide Queen Elizabeth II who passed away peacefully in her sleep. Not everyone knows she was a scout, but she was. And even as an adult, she visited many scouts across the world. 💔🌎
