Lady Veterans Connect

Lady Veterans Connect Honoring Lady Veterans by Providing Hope Homes, & Healing Phyllis Abbott originally operated two organizations, Sheppard's Hands and Lady Vets Connect.

She then made the decision to join the two to become Lady Veterans Connect, a 501(c)(3) organization, after realizing together they made a powerful team. Lady Veterans Connect streamlined the work of both entities into one to provide high quality, comprehensive services to Women Veterans to assist transitional support and prevent homelessness. One by one the team continues to grow, each bringing h

is/her gifts, specialties, ideas, and visions on how to better serve Women Veterans and their families. Under the new organization, the former Trapp Elementary School in Winchester Kentucky, a 22,000 sq ft facility was renovated. Christened Anna's House it is now transitional housing for up to 32 Women Veterans. Work continues with the Women Veterans in the Thurman-Abbott Home in Lexington, KY. Workshops, Expos, and much more are planned to connect and serve our Women Veterans.

LVC supports many other community outreach organizations. Today, LVC volunteers loaded up the truck from Emma Quire Mission out of Owsley County with our yardsale leftovers. Thank you to everyone that shopped, or shared, Anna's Closet sale.

We are able to help fund this mission through sales like this where all funds go to the mission of helping women veterans. The staff that prepare for, and work the sales, are all volunteers that we can't thank enough.

Again, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at our next sale on August 1st!
