Troop 185 Buggy Top Cave Expedition! This trip, as all others, started with one of our Scouts asking God's blessing and safety as we embarked on our outdoor adventure. It was a 2 mile hike to the cave, 3/4 mile through the cave, and another 2 miles back to the truck with a 1200 ft. elevation gain over the entire trip. The consensus from the Troop was this was an AWESOME caving adventure........although a couple said they would have enjoyed it a bit more minus the 4 miles of hiking to get there and back. The scouts had the opportunity even see some albino cave crayfish on our journey through the cave. We really appreciate the support from the Head of the Crow State Park for guiding us through the cave and providing the helmet/lamp combo to help keep us safe and enjoy the experience. We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful place and so thankful for all those that provide the opportunity for our young men to spend an afternoon exploring one of Tennessee's greatest treasures on a Saturday afternoon!
