These are the original vandalism pic’s from 2010-2011. My daughter KayLee Luttrell, Joe Guess & myself Robin Huffines. Did most of these repairs before we were able to convince the City of Wi******er to step in & do their part as per the original agreement set when Adventure Mountain was founded by ALL of the donated funds by our local business & citizen of our county (Franklin) & actually a few from surrounding counties.

It’s has come to my attention that AGAIN this situation is in dire condition & a concern of others. A young ladies post was forwarded to be & I reopened this page so she can use it to help “clean up.

I have advised her of various routes of getting volunteers to help on cleanup or donate supplies to the “cleanup.”

Oops (Tin can) Goof Off, lots of rags, gloves that stuff gets all over our hands when it comes off!! Steel wool used for stripping paint, sandpaper, wood filler to cover carved in names, wd 40 (yes sometimes that stuff just doesn’t come off) the grey paint is Behr from Home Depot 1coat I’ll look in my folder for the color.) Red paint & yellow paint (some of the poles are painted.

Garbage bags because WE CLEAN AS WELL!! Black lawn size. You can contact myself as well. Robin Huffines

Today was the WORST DAY EVER... the ONLY thing that saved me from going anymore BaLListic that what I already was regarding how the City of Wi******er "maintained" the site today.. WAS the FACT my daughter had to be rushed to doctor for abdominal pains. She is fine. though.

AFTER I got off a 13 hr Security Shift, my daughter had wanted me to meet her at Adventure Mountain for Rock Creek school's field trip.. Somehow, even working an hour away from Wi******er I made it there before they did. I went on site & noticed the "incompleted painting of the front entrance" is not finished.. BUT.. NOT in the ORIGINAL COLOR OR PAINT that I had painted what you see painted in GREY on the site. But, some funkcy blueish stuff that was really slick. An oil base stuff.. But, I will SKIP things I NOTICED.. because the City of Wi******er came on site & I was watching to see "their Maintence." Ok. they drove & got ONE garbage can & put in the truck & can to the dumpster.. in the vehicle was 2 inmates. I w alk over as they are empting. Needless to say, I am still very much in my security uniform. I ask, "Is that ALL you are going to do? there will be a bus load of kids arriving soon from school. Is it "clean enough for them?" Strangely, the inmates don't seem to mind wanting to work BUT.. the person said, "I'm part time. I don't have the right to have them pick up any litter. We just empty the garbage every other day. It seemed okay the other day." I asked, "IS it clean enough for 2nd graders?" & I see they finished repainting the entrance but why did they NOT paint the COLOR gave Nickols & Asst Chief Dwyer?? I spent about 6mos painting & repainting over vandalism before the INCIDENT HALLOWEEN. He replied," i don't know.. I know it is hard to clean vandalism.. & we just dropped off a set of picnic table over to Cowan Hwy & they are already BROKE." I state, "do what?? we have ONE table left HERE & PEOPLE have parties for their kids here & such PLUS NO it doesn't take MUCH to get vandalism UP.. see tht BUS & the two YELLOW wheels.. well Goof Off in metal can & steel wool cleaned it & it gets off most vandal stuff.. A little sandpaper & paint , too.

I will write a LIST of items I use to clean up with & the "specific" paint that was used to pain the grey.

Unfortunately, that paint was not from THE CITY OF WI******ER. Home Depot donated the 1st batch of supplies, October 2010. I've been able to hang onto them myself & make sure "USED JUST FOR THIS" & not disappear into a closet or used somewhere else in the City.

Joe Guess was in the process of finishing up the Gazebo's cedar shingles but ran out of time & supplies. If anyone has additional cedar that can be cut to be used to finish this part of the project please contact me.

It really looks like it is going to be UP to the CITIZENS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY to band together AGAIN to either come up with the FUNDS or the MANPOWER to fix somethings. Let's not make a FOCAL POINT of the park turn into a GANG HANG OUT or even LOOK that WAY to the community.

I'm trying to upload ALL THE PICTURES of vandalism that I viewed today.. I am so-o sorry I had to actually work to support my family & not dedicate more time to make sure this did not happen to the park again. I'm ESPECIALLY UPSET because most of the damage has been done on ALL THE ITEMS I PAINTED MYSELF!! I tried to make SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TODAY to find out what on EARTH HAPPENED. I only got a FEW ANSWERS when a Wi******er Police officer came to take my statement regarding information OTHERs told me regarding a "time frame" damage showed up. Part of a PICNIC TABLE I found at the Bass Club ALERTED ME that something was WRONG.

Please view pictures & help me find a way to get this cleaned up & Keep this clean!! Mr. Joe Guess & myself cannot do this by ourselves. Yes, we seem to only a few that put interest in this last year. I HOPE OTHERS, can & WILL HELP..

I haven't taken pictures of the new fence City of Wi******er put up yet. It does look good. I've heard new mulch to be put in soon. I've been really busy with my daughter on the being on Wi******ers Swim Team & then Soccer, too. So, I will have to slow down a little to finish more on the park myself..

Just got back from soccer practice & some more time at the Adventure Mountain site, I put a few signs up w/some of the OLD screws to see if they might be usable.. NOPE.. But, it does look nice against the new grey paint!!

Today?? the screws aren't ones I'd use. They need to lay completely flat into the original holes & not make bigger. They brought 1st set a star/hex ones that take a special drill bit (I don't have) & 2nd set was Green!! So, I will have to see about getting another box of the original ones. Instead, I marked the original outline back up again. Thank goodness the original shadow & screw marks are there so that helped.
