Our adoptable dogs are posted on Petfinder (www.scottcountydogrescue.petfinder.com) and applications are required.

Scott County Dog Rescue was established in 2003 to save adoptable dogs in the local pound from euthanasia. Some dogs remain with us for just enough time for vetting and assessment, others are with us as long as it takes to find them a 'forever' home. Adopting one of our dogs not only matches you with a pet that is fully vetted, has basic manners and is tested with kids, cats and other dogs - but it also opens up a spot to allow us to save yet another dog on 'death row'.

Sonic needs a home with kids!! A recent trial visit taught us a lot about Sonic. He is very well behaved, will sit/down on command, is housebroken and he LOVES kids and is great with them. The "tryer" says Sonic deserves to be happy and that would be with kids (not just occasional grandkids visiting). Therefore, he is looking for a home with kiddos. The trial visit taught us a lot about Sonic. He is very well behaved, will sit/down on command, is housebroken and he LOVES kids and is great with them. The "tryer" says Sonic deserves to be happy and that would be with kids (not just occasional grandkids visiting). Therefore, he is looking for a home with kiddos. Sonic is on a trial visit and is enjoying the day hanging out in the shop. If things go well, his new name will be 'Jasper'. ❤️
