Any woman 18 years or older-regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background-who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership. Encompassing an entire downtown city block, DAR National Headquarters houses one of the nation's premier genealogical libraries, one of the foremost collections of pre-industrial American decorative arts, Washington's largest concert hall, and an extensive collection of early American manuscripts and imprints. Just over 150 years ago, the world’s first national park was born. In 1872, the United States Congress established Yellowstone National Park and President Ulysses S. Grant signed the Yellowstone National Park Protection Act into law.

To celebrate the anniversary of this national treasure, we were honored to host award winning photographer, Ralph Tyree, for a presentation of his work from Yellowstone.

*please note - the photos in this post are photos of photos on a tv screen and as such, are not intended to be an accurate reflection of the true aesthetic value of Mr. Tyree’s work. Please visit his website for more information and to view his gorgeous portfolio of work... you’ll be glad you did.😊
