We are pleased to share an important update about the future of Autism Housing Pathways.

After thoughtful planning and collaboration, Autism Housing Pathways will officially merge with The Federation for Children with Special Needs, effective 1/1/2026. This merger brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families across the lifespan.

By joining The Federation for Children with Special Needs, Autism Housing Pathways will be able to strengthen and expand its housing-focused advocacy and support, while benefiting from the Federation’s long-standing leadership, infrastructure, and statewide reach. Most importantly, this partnership allows us to better support disabled adults and their families as they navigate housing options and long-term planning.

What this means for our community:

* Our mission and core values remain unchanged:

- Building the capacity of families to find or create housing solutions for their family members with disabilities;

- Building the capacity of individuals to maintain tenancy;

- Improving the professional development of direct support staff;

- Conducting research on the housing needs and resources of the Massachusetts autism community; and

- Building the capacity of the housing sector to meet the residential needs of individuals with autism.

* Programs and advocacy efforts will continue without interruption

* Families can expect greater coordination, sustainability, and impact

* Autism Housing Pathways’ work will move forward within the Federation’s trusted framework

Over the coming months, you may see updates to our communications and branding as we transition. We are committed to transparency and will continue to share information as this integration moves forward.

We are deeply grateful for your trust, collaboration, and support. This merger represents an exciting step forward in our ability to serve families today and into the future.

If you have questions, please contact Fran Stanley at [email protected] .

With gratitude,

Andria Entsminger & Cathy Boyle of Autism Housing Pathways
(now part of The Federation for Children with Special Needs)

See the link below. More assistance to create ADUs coming soon:

* Design: The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) will launch its ADU Design Challenge on December 15, offering prize funding through sponsorship partners to generate a set of publicly available, replicable designs that homeowners and communities can use at no cost.

* Support: Backed by $10 million from the Governor’s fiscal 2026-2030 Capital Investment Plan, Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) will offer a program to help more homeowners build ADUs.

* Finance: Following its recent authorization of $20 million for mission-oriented homeownership activities, MassHousing plans utilize a portion of those funds to introduce affordable, accessible construction financing for low and moderate-income homeowners beginning in 2026.

AHP has the following core goals:

* Building the capacity of families to find or create housing solutions for their family members with disabilities;

* Building the capacity of individuals to maintain tenancy;

* Improving the professional development of direct support staff;

* Conducting research on the housing needs and resources of the Massachusetts autism community; and

Participating in the Flutie 5K will help us expand the number of people we reach with our services. Funds donated will allow us to help people fill out housing applications, train families on housing options, create videos to prompt adults through basic housekeeping skills, and prompt families through requesting reasonable accommodations from a housing authority.

Your support makes a real difference to our work.
