Proud is an UNDERSTATEMENT when it comes to this program. Ensuring all Clark County Preschool Children receive the basics of swim and water skill and safety is quite literally our pride and joy!

A local partnership is making a lasting difference for hundreds of Clark County children by helping them gain confidence in the water before they ever step into kindergarten.

As the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close, we can't help but reflect on the four years we've been doing our Swim at the Gym Splash Class and being SO grateful for our school system!

In addition to that partnership, we want to thank YOU, our community and supporters, whose generosity have allowed us to serve OVER 600 preschool children so far in this program! We couldn't do it without you, and 600 kids means we have even gotten to see siblings of some of our OGs!

Congrats to our Clark County Preschool graduates, and we can't wait to continue this program again next year!

Annnndd that’s a wrap on our 2025/2026 school year for Swim at the Gym Splash Class! This program in partnership with the Clark County Public Schools has officially served OVER 600 KIDS by providing FREE swim lessons to Clark County Preschool’s students since its inception in 2022.

There’s no way around saying it - this program just wouldn’t exist without two things. 1st, a partnership that no other school district in the state is doing, and 2nd, YOUR help! There’s simply no room in traditional budgeting for this kind of program, and that’s why Friends of Parks and Recreation is proud to call this program our shining star!

Special thanks to multiple CCPS administrators, including Superintendent Dustin Howard and Chief Academic Officer Kelly Fithen, for showing up to celebrate our little ones today. Even more special thanks to the CC Preschool teachers and our own in-house instructors Kalina Callahan and Ella Cravens for being so amazing with these kiddos. Our community means the world to us, and we are proud to be building it with them, and you!
