Winchester Grange No. 74 Come join us! Wi******er Grange No. 74 (Founded January 2, 1888) is located at the intersection of Newfield Road and Route 263, in Wi******er Center, CT.

Meetings are the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month. www.Wi******erGrange.org Since 1888, Wi******er Grange members have been meeting the needs of the Wi******er Center community. Our organization has constantly evolved to be of service to our local area, its families and our neighbors. Wi******er Grange has been an active participant in a whole myriad of community service programs, including:

reserving the Wi******er Center zip code by providing a home for the local Post Office.
-- Provide a home for the Wi******er Center Volunteer Fire Department
-- Supply and help local area food banks
-- Make care packages for our troops overseas
-- Distribute Bike Helmets to prevent head injuries
-- Clean local cemeteries to preserve their history
-- Provide scholarships to students
-- Support a quality local Grange summer camp for children (Camp Berger)
-- Work with Foster Families through donations
-- Raise money and donate goods to children's programs across the state
-- Host a number of family-oriented events each year
-- and much more! Wi******er Grange is a unique, fun-loving group, which is dedicated to community service, legislative advancements, and personal development. As one of the oldest organizations in the United States, the Grange means different things to different people, with the common thread of camaraderie and a sense of contributing to the community. Grange membership is non-exclusive. Members are not limited by age, gender, culture, race or faith. In the ever changing community, the Granges across the State of Connecticut provide diverse services. Wi******er Grange is comprised of all types of individuals - including men and women of all ages, from trades people and small business owners to educators and professionals.

Support our Wi******er Center community by attending the Little Red Schoolhouse Open House this weekend!

The Little Red Schoolhouse will have our first Open House of the season this Sunday, May 31st, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Everyone is welcome. Stop by and see us. We're located at the corner of Platt Hill Road and Taylor Brook Road in Wi******er Center, Connecticut. Help us spread the word.

Experience what school was like in the 1800s. One room schoolhouses, like the Little Red Schoolhouse, where grades one through eight were taught together in the same room by a single teacher, were common in the 19th and early 20th century.
