Thanks to all the volunteers today and over the weekend. We collected 36 large bags in total plus some tires, hub caps, carpet rugs and sheet rock..from our two mile stretch of RR12 between Winters Mill Parkway and Old Oaks Ranch Road.

SAVE THE DATE: NEXT ROADSIDE CLEAN UP Tuesday Oct 27th!!

We hope you can join KWB as we get out and about again (in cooler weather) to clean up roads around Wimberley. Provide grabbers, bags, water/snacks. We ask you to bring gloves and wear closed-toe shoes.

Meet at Craggs Parking Lot at 8:30am on RR12.

Do you need to dispose of expired or unused medications? All Walgreen locations and San Marcos Police department accepts them all year round.

You can safely dispose of unused, expired, or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications at the anonymous 24/7 drop-off kiosk located in the front lobby of the San Marcos Police Department.

What You Can Drop Off

• Accepted Items: Prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, ointments, patches, pet medications, and drug samples.
• Not Accepted: Needles/syringes (these go to the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off), liquids (must be mixed with dirt, cat litter, or coffee grounds in a sealed bag before throwing in the trash), and business medications.

Youth Program: 15 youngsters and 5 adults had great fun making Bee Hotels this last week at Wimberley Village Library. More events soon!

We have a lot of thank you’s to the volunteers who gave their time yesterday. In no specific order: Troop 127 (amazing young men who managed the Shredit truck unloading) and helped direct vehicles, Carlos (Shred-It Austin operator), Tim/Damien/Nathan with City of Wimberley, Faustino (Texas Disposal Systems rock star status for helping people), JP and team for recycling all the metal…our KWB volunteers David and Linda for the extra treats and Ozona Bank for their co-sponsorship with Keep Wimberley Beautiful for funding the Shredit event.

And we appreciate the community who dropped items off, were patient when the lines were long - and everyone that donated to the Scouts scholarship fund. Your kindness has funded many youngsters that may not have been able to attend camps. THANK YOU WIMBERLEY 🌻🌻🌻

The morning is going well at ShredIt and dumpster/metal recycling events at Lion’s Field (FM2325) opposite market days.
ShredIt till noon. Dumpsters till noon or full.
