Every MARKET DAYS, our youngest members -- we call them Leos -- work with us in our concessions, parking lots, etc. One subgroup of Leos is the PAW-parazzi who take video and photos of our vendor community. This is a new vendor, Firma live Oil, which you can see at Booth 162 on our April 4 th Market Days.

TEXAS LIONS CAMP STAFFERS TELL ALL • Two camp staffers visited Wimberley recently to tell the story of the Texas Lions Camp. The camp exists to provide, without charge, a camp for physically disabled and diabetic children from Texas. Wimberley Lions, along with Lions clubs across Texas, provide support the camp.

Last summer Wimberley Lions travelled to Kerrville, Texas where the camp is located to say "thank you" to camp counsellors for their work with with kids at the Texas Lions Camp. Here's the story about their visit.

Are tourists loving Wimberley to death? This was the question answered by Michele Woods, Wimberley's director of tourism, in her talk at Wimberley Lions' third public forum. Along with major players from Wimberley's city hall, Woods reported that last year, Wimberley had approximately 1.3 million visitor days, a 28% year over year growth over 2024.

Following are highlights from Woods' talk explaining the many measures her office and city staffers are taking to address parking, communication with the public, emergency management, and support of local retailers and local residents.

It was a dark and chilly night...

Wimberley Lions Club needed a quorum to revise its Constitution and ByLaws.

January 20 was arguably the most important membership meeting of 2026. It was the Lions opportunity to take part in an event that typically only happens once every decade or so.

The last time a major change to its Constitution & By-Laws occurred was January 2008, and these revisions were more substantial than those.

Enough members joined in the community center to vote to pass the revisions.

This is how democracy works.

DECEMBER 6 MARKET DAYS WAS A GREAT FINISH FOR 2025 • It takes 450 vendors, hundreds of volunteers, 10 concessions, three entertainment venues, more than a 100 Wimberley Lions, security and EMS folks, great entertainers, maintenance crews, WI-FI experts, LEOs, PAW-Parazzi, food and drink distributors, a new sidewalk that runs from the high school to HEB, and perfect weather to make a perfect Market Day.

And most of all thanks to Wimberley and our thousands of shoppers who turn Market Days profits into scholarships, international student exchanges, and donations to local non-profits.

The Wimberley Lions close shop for January and February. The first Market Day of 2026 will be Saturday, March 7.
