✨ CACFP Week Spotlight 🍎🥞🍁

This week we want to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing Food Coordinator for all the incredible work she’s been doing during CACFP Week! 👏💛

Through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), our program is able to provide nutritious meals and snacks that support healthy growth and development for all of our children—and she plays a huge role in making that happen every single day.

This week especially, she has gone above and beyond by:
🍁 Bringing maple syrup into the classrooms for hands-on learning experiences
🥞 Creating fun, engaging food activities for children
👩‍🍳 Sending home pamphlets, recipes, nutrition tips and activities for families!
🍎 Encouraging healthy habits both in the classroom and at home
📚Reading to all of the children at the site, which they enjoyed so much!

Her hard work helps connect nutrition, learning, and family engagement in such meaningful ways—and it does not go unnoticed! 💫

We are so grateful for everything she does to support our children, families, and staff. Thank you for making CACFP Week so special! 💛

Yesterday at Parent Group we created calm-down glitter sensory bottles ✨

This preschooler was so proud of his work and showed great focus and persistence throughout the activity. With support from both mom and dad, he now has a special tool he can use to help calm his body and mind at home 💙

Sensory tools like these support social-emotional development and give families something meaningful they can use together.🏠😊

❄️Join Us for a Winter Wonderland Parent Group! ❄️
Enjoy a cozy, supportive space to connect with other parents and caregivers. Light refreshments will be provided.

This session will include fun, winter-themed educational activities and discussion prompts designed to support learning, development, and parent‑child connection.

Craft Highlight for Parent Group!
At our upcoming Parent Group on 12/19/2025 from 9–10 AM, we’ll be creating paper snowflakes as part of our Winter Wonderland theme.

Afterwards, families will also have the option to add their completed paper snowflakes to their child’s classroom. This helps create a peaceful, winter-themed environment and gives children a chance to see something their parents made especially for them.

This activity supports:
✨ Social–Emotional Learning (SEL)
• Helps children feel pride and a sense of belonging when they see something their parent made displayed in their environment.
• Encourages family–child connection, showing children that their caregivers are involved in their learning space.
• Promotes emotional security, as the classroom feels more familiar and personalized.
✨ Early Learning & Skill Development
• Crafting snowflakes supports fine motor skills, creativity, and pattern awareness.
• Adds visual interest to the classroom environment, which can support curiosity, observation skills, and engagement.

This gentle, hands-on activity helps strengthen home–school connections while giving families a calming, creative experience.
