Beau is just one of my favorite individuals. I love his outgoing personality, his dog level love of food, his disregard for personal space, yet his general kindness and tolerance of other animals. He’s such a special individual.

Ahsoka has settled in so nicely. She is very happy being a house chicken. She does have a mild limp and a work up shows she probably has a gastroc tendon problem, which will likely worsen with age. These chickens are just bred to be killed by under two months of age, and when they live beyond that their bodies have so much strain. We love this girl so much and plan to spoil her as much as possible for however long we are lucky enough to have her.

Yesterday was hoof care and vaccine day for our cows. Once a year Michael DeVries comes out to help our bovine friends keep their feet in tip top shape. This year was Nick and Domino’s first time. Of course they were scared, but Carol supervised and showed them it’s nothing to be too worried about.
