MacBeth Evans Petalware glass pattern 1930-1950, came in Monax (white) and Cremax (aka Ivrene, beige color) as a base color. What is really fun is all the decorated designs that are out there. Pastel and primary bands and Florette are the most common and well known decorations, but here are a few photos of some other cool designs. I love the blue bird decoration. There are many variations of fruits and flowers. A great pattern to collect and use!

Probably over 20 years ago I picked up a cool piece of mid century glass and did research to find out it was part of the Casual line made by Canton Glass Company in the 1950's. The pieces in this line have amorphous shapes and a unique heavy thick applied slab of colored glass on the bottom of the pieces. First photo shows a clear center handled bowl with thick green applied. Colors I have seen are green, amber, blue, and black sometimes on clear but also duo tone like vase shown. Originally Canton Glass Co. was in Canton, OH but after a fire moved to Marion, Indiana (1903‑1958), and then Hartford City, Indiana (1958‑1999).

I love interesting vintage kitchen glass. Check out this glass baking pan with 6 detailed molds for baking cornbread sticks that look like an ear of corn. So Fun and functional! Marked Miracle Maize on both handles. Made by Indiana Glass starting in 1939 for Little Crow Foods the maker of Miracle Maiz Corn Bread mix so also great as an advertising piece.

A big Thank You to the many club members that brought an amazing selection of pieces for our “Glass and Metals” May program. You made this a wonderful program! The 3 tables were packed as you will see in the photos. There were pieces from many of the silver decorating companies like Depasse-Pearsall, National Silver Deposit Ware, Rockwell, and Silver City. Also gold from Culver. Some great chrome Farber pieces and some glass in gold holders including a rare Fostoria American set on tray. There was even a tantalus and samovar!
