Hope you made some Memorial Day Memories and got a glimpse of the NPFL televised bass tournament. Our "Captain Dan" took the camera crew out. Unfortunately our storms are becoming more violent/dangerous. Thanks to all who offered shoreline protection. We saw it all: RAIN, RESCUE, and a RAINBOW!

Keep an eye out for "Captain Dan" Hartsell who will be driving the camera boat for this weeks NPFL (National Professional Fishing League) bass tournament on Lay Lake. They launch from Beeswax. Dan also offers a safe/certified pontoon guide service for families/groups for half day/full day excursions that can include swimming, stops for meals, photography and river history

So proud of Sylacauga folks who picked up 1,590 # of trash on Russell Chapel Road Sunday afternoon. Kudos too to Lay Lake Fire Rescue for protecting these volunteers!

Wow! 89 clean up teams in 4 counties are reporting 21,369 pounds of trash collected - this is lots more than we gathered last year. There are new teams still heading out too! Women of the Cove, Fayetteville are doing a second clean up. Continue sending "trashy" pictures!

We had 55 attend the Beeswax BBQ Picnic sponsored by Powered by Luke. Elected board members, met volunteers from Chilton, Coosa, Shelby and Talladega Counties, gave out APC t-shirts, and enjoyed meals prepared by Hank Howell. Enjoyed Pepsi products!

Had an awesome clean up Saturday with members from the Waters Edge subdivision. We collected 3,600 pounds of trash from the roads and continue to clean up the lake.
