September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 💛🎗️

For our family, childhood cancer awareness will forever have a name Timothy Earl.

Timothy was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms tumor and fought cancer for nearly a year. But cancer was only one small part of his story. Timothy was a joyful, adventurous little boy who loved fast cars, monster trucks, the color red, and making every room brighter with that unforgettable smile. Grave Digger and Megalodon were favorites, and even during his time in the hospital, he found ways to simply be a little boy. 💛

On March 27, 2025, we lost Timothy at just FOUR years old.

His life and his journey became the heart behind Timothy’s Treasure Box. We now carry his love forward by helping bring birthdays, surprises, and moments of happiness to children spending some of their hardest days in the hospital.

This September, we Go Gold for Timothy and for every child who has fought, is still fighting, and should have had the chance to grow up.

Their stories deserve to be told. Their lives deserve to be remembered. And they deserve more. 💛🎗️

🎉 Another birthday celebrated with Timothy’s Treasure Box! 🎂❤️

We were so excited to help make this birthday a little brighter with decorations, balloons, cake, and gifts! 🎈🎁

A huge thank you to the amazing Child Life team for helping us set everything up, our wonderful partners who help make each box special, and every single donor who supports our mission. Because of you, we’re able to create moments like this for children spending their birthdays in the hospital. 🥹❤️

This month, I should be getting Timothy ready for kindergarten. 💚

I should be buying school supplies, picking out his backpack, laying out his first day outfit, and taking that picture every mama looks forward to the first day of kindergarten.

He would be 5 years old, starting kindergarten with the rest of the Class of 2039.

Instead, I’m left imagining all the moments we should be having. Grief isn’t only missing the memories we already made; it’s grieving every milestone that was supposed to come next, too.

As everyone heads back to school, I hope every child has a safe, happy, and wonderful school year. Take the pictures, celebrate the little milestones, and hug those babies extra tight. 💚

And to all the little ones starting kindergarten this year, I hope you have the very best first year of school. There’s one very special little boy who should be starting right alongside you. 🦋

We are incredibly grateful to the American Red Cross, Farmington Heights Church, and our amazing community for supporting Timothy's Treasure Box, Inc. Together, we met our goal of collecting 50 pints of lifesaving blood!
