Dee's House Dee's house was named in loving memory of Derrick S. Davis, II, who died Christmas morning 2007 at the age of 26. Derrick left a legacy of his love for children.

He always had time to listen and encourage them. The first program that was started at Dee's House was the Dee's Boyz program. This program works with young boys and young men from ages 8 to 24. Our young boys are placed in a mentor and tutorial program. We assess them individually and assist them in their needs. Our young men are assisted with their education needs, journey of life, and job search. Job training is our next step. Our community needs to join in and ensure these future fathers and leaders receive all possible resources necessary for them to be the men they were born to become. How the Second Program Began. DEES started when our co-founder, Levolyre Pitt and her soror, Margaret Britt's deal went sour when asked to partnership with another children's program. The light bulb popped on and these two retired educators went to work. It was then the spirit of the Lord and the determination of two Delta Sigma Theta sisters kicked into gear. The second program under Dee's House was born. DEES is the acronym for Developing Enriching Enhancing Scholars. It is a Pre-K program that is NO COST to the parents. The goal is to successfully prepare preschoolers for a smooth transition to kindergarten by providing a high-quality and nurturing early childhood education. It was realized that too many of our preschoolers have no formal exposure to educational opportunities until they reach kindergarten.
