The upper coastal plain of eastern NC has some of the worlds best agricultural lands. Local and healthy food stakeholders are coming together to support new farmers, local food opportunities, and food entrepreneurs. On this page and those of others in the network, we hope you will find resources and people supporting the development of more resilient and viable communities through improved access to local and healthy food. Please share your news and information about farmers markets, local restaurants buying local foods, agritourism, grant opportunities, food policy councils, CSAs, or whatever you can contribute to the local and healthy food table in the upper coastal plain region.
