Wilson Youth

Wilson Youth Pulse the staple hangout for 8-12 graders to hang out on a Friday night. Pulse starts at 8pm every Friday night. A little something for everyone!

It's a night where you just get to hangout and relax after a week of school. We've got everything from pool, indoor hockey, ping pong, four square, foosball, tons to eat and a lots of couches.

To all the Pulse peeps, read this twice. When you are preparing for life after high school, do not think your future success depends on the name of an institution. We are all wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and there is a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). If it’s university, great! If it’s trade school, great! If it’s going straight to work, great! If you don’t know and need time after high school to figure it out, great! Trust in God, pray, seek wise council and pray some more!

Albert Einstein was a genius, looked a bit goofy but had some good perspective on life. What if we looked at our day and appreciated everything in it as much as we would a miracle in our lives? What if we change our thoughts to “I’m so happy for what I have” from “If I only had..”? It’s not easy to look around and see what you have as a positive because sometimes the hard stuff has to be dealt with to get there. It’s ok to have hard stuff and it’s ok to ask for help to see and work through it (James 5:16)! Jesus loves you, you are the most beautiful ‘you’ to Him. Psalm 139:14

“When you start living a life of overwhelming gratefulness, you begin to see the world in a different way.” - We are in the middle of a time when companies want us to buy more stuff without thinking about what we have. Some have many “things” and some don’t but to those who focus on being grateful for what they have (a Savior who loves them, honest friends, family, coffee, etc.) they will find contentment.
