Did you know....

Dialing*47 can be used in several states including North Carolina to request roadside assistance for flat tires, fuel issues, dead car batteries, vehicles blocking lanes, erratic drivers, and fender benders?

This is definitely a great thing to remember if you are a female and you travel alone or you have a child who is a new driver.

Dialing 511 (Mon. -Fri. 815am-745pm) and (Sat.-Sun.815am-415pm) will inform you of the latest road conditions, crashes and weather related closures and road construction? There will be a live agent that will assist you with questions that you may have.

This service is free and is designed to ease the flow of traffic and keep drivers safe on the roads.

Uninsured low income individuals can receive many prescription medications at no cost and they can be shipped directly to your home.

To be eligible you must be a North Carolina resident, uninsured or have Medicare, and come below or at 300% of the federal poverty level and have a valid prescription from a healthcare provider.
