So grateful for my work family!

The owner has allowed me (Serve United) to do an Easter event today at Golden Corral, Hwy 301 in Rocky Mount. The event includes the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Goody Bags. Swing by if you’re nearby and bring the kids! My friends Sheena, Jerry and Jay from Seek His Face Ministries will also be assisting with passing out the bags, and assisting with traffic control. Sheena’s son Jay has agreed to be Mr. Easter Bunny. A few of my co-workers will be assisting as well!

I’m looking for the Lord to bless!! This is just another way to show love. Some may be churched while others may not. What better way than to do a community event, have fun all while spreading the good news about Jesus and this Epic Holy Weekend!

First I’d like to wish everyone a Happy thanksgiving.

Today, few friends (Sheena, Jerry, Kim, Briana, Jonathan and I blessed the families residing at the Ronald McDonald house in Greenville, NC. We provided a Turkey, Rice and Gravy, Ham, String beans, and Corn. We also assisted the staff with meal prep for their annual Thanksgiving dinner. Meal donations were pouring in and there was so much food we were able to bring the overage to the United Christian ministries, which is the homeless shelter in Rocky Mount!

It was a great day! We left at 10 am and finished up at 2pm! Just 4 hours to bless and serve those in need!

I chose this day because of my God Mom- Paddie Joyce Willingham Battle. She loved to serve on thanksgiving day!

The Lord has shared that He wants me to focus on women next year! I be in the planning phase for the rest of the year! The name of my Outreach Women’s Program will be Rebekah’s Closet- Learning how to take our hands off the wheel and Let God be God! All we as His daughters need to do is trust, have faith, get in our prayer closets and pray!! More to come!!

Well! End of Summer BBQ ended up with the Lord showing himself! This was His Grand Finale for the year!

We Served 175 plates today. Some folk’s unfortunately had to be turned away. It was first come first served.

I’m grateful for Daniel who gave the permission for us to serve on the grounds of Piggly Wiggly. I’m grateful for Bobby for helping us with his store staff. We blessed them with 23 plates lol!

I’m grateful for my sis Sheena and her hubby Mr. Jerry for being the grill master. Sheena is my new bestie lol and outreach ride or die!

Thanks to my God-sister LaToya Deans who has NEVER left me! She’s stood right by my side and supported the Outreach legacy Paddie Joyce left us to do!

Thanks to my son Jon Jon for lifting and carrying stuff for me.

Thanks to the group home care workers and the residents who came by to grab their plates. We serviced over 30 members of various group homes today!

My intention was to serve 120 plates. That’s what I prepped for. Unbeknownst to me, I was going to serve the masses!

Thanks to Jeremiah Battle who sowed $20 to the event today! He’s a young man with a giving heart! I pray the Lord’s blessings and favor upon his life!

I’m also grateful for folks who walked up today and gave a donation. Ms. Mamie and Ms. Earlie blessed me with a birthday card! It was so touching!

It was a beautiful day today! Mission Accomplished!! In hindsight this is a lesson that shows people are still need! Serve United loves God and loves people.

I’m truly blessed and honored that the Lord trusts me to do His work with my hands and I trust Him!!

Vacation in sight but there’s one more mission!!

Next and final stop for the year is the Ronald McDonald House!

The Ronald McDonald Houses offer physical comforts and emotional support designed to promote the well-being of the whole family. These Houses not only keep families close when they need each other most, but increases the ability for families to spend more time with their child, interact with their clinical care team and participate in critical medical care decisions.

As two of the seven Ronald McDonald Houses in North Carolina, located here in Greenville, and of the more than 365 worldwide, we are happy to open our doors to families of pediatric patients receiving treatment in area medical facilities.

Patients receive no medical attention or treatments at the House. Ronald McDonald House Charities is nondiscriminatory and non-sectarian.

LaToya, Sheena and I will be sponsoring family dinners to the families frequenting the RMHC on the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day!! LaToya and I will be repping Serve U and Sheena and her team of ladies will rep Seek His Face Ministries!!

The families will receive baked spaghetti dinners on the day before Thanksgiving and Golden Corral Thanksgiving’s Days Dinner!
