📚✊🏾 **OUR CHILDREN. OUR COMMUNITY. OUR FUTURE.**
What an evening of wonderful connections, conversations , and collective action! The Wilson NC NAACP 5470-B was honored to host:
“Champions for Our Schools”: A Community of Partners Networking to Collaborate and bring together families, educators, elected leaders, advocates, and community partners committed to strengthening education of Wilson County.
We shared powerful conversations about , education, equity, advocacy, and the importance of community engagement. As we explored how we can work together to amplify voices and create meaningful change for our students and families, it was understood that we genuinely united for one shared commitment: our children and the future of our schools.
We were honored to welcome NC Representative Dante Pittman and education advocate Tamika Walker for meaningful conversations about education, advocacy, and the power of community collaboration.
The NAACP believes that community engagement is essential to lasting change. When we organize, when we advocate, and when we hold space for our communities to be heard, we move closer to the schools—and the future—our children deserve.
To everyone who showed up, spoke up, connected, and continues to advocate—thank you. Your presence matters. Your voice matters. And your commitment matters.
Special thanks to **Something Different** for providing dinner and supporting this important community gathering.
However, even though the event may be over, the work continues.
✊🏾 We build bridges.
We power advocacy.
We strengthen our schools.
We stand for our children.
