🌾 You may know our conservation cemetery because of its beautiful prairie and forest trails many people enjoy during the day.

🌾 Join us for a night hike with Wilderness Center naturalists next Friday, August 21st from 8:30-9:30 pm as we explore the cemetery in a different light. You will learn about how a conservation cemetery functions as important habitat and experience nature at nighttime.

🌾 In 2008, Wilderness Center opened the first nature preserve cemetery in Ohio, Foxfield Preserve. Foxfield remains as one of a handful of conservation cemeteries in the country today.

🌾 Along with a natural, full body burial, cremated remains can also be placed either directly in the earth or in a biodegradable container, which is then buried.

Due to current air quality concerns, the potential for thunderstorms, and continued high heat, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday's public guided tour of Foxfield Preserve.
