The men and women of the 82nd Airborne Division make up one of the bravest and most daring of combat forces. As highly trained paratroopers, they are often called upon to jump from planes into enemy territory to lead the way for the offensive. Their history is well documented and their valor has resulted in the highest levels of decoration and recognition. While the 82nd Airborne has served worldw
ide in times of war, a group of talented men and women from within their ranks has taken on a special mission: to lift their voices in song as the All-American Chorus. Since 1964, this a ca****la singing group has toured the country and the world entertaining young and old alike on their mission to bring the joy of music to the lives of those around us. Whether it be classical chorales or the latest rock and roll or rhythm and blues, the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus is always a welcomed addition to any program.
As a documentary filmmaker, Paula Haller of Wilmington, NC became interested in the idea of presenting this enormously talented group when she first saw them perform. Haller, a vocal performer herself, has set out to go inside the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus to bring to light their stories in battle and on the stage. With some of the most skilled cinematographers in the area and a crew of Hollywood editors and archivists, Paula Haller has assembled an extremely talented team to meet, speak with, and even to jump with this daring assortment of young men and women who are equally dedicated to bringing their music to as many people as possible.
Our mission is to create a film that goes inside the 82nd in a way that gets to the very heart of the paratrooper-soldier and explores the motivations of these brave men and women. And that is where you can contribute to the telling of this wonderful story of genuine patriotism. We need your financial support. Our goal is to raise $75,000 for this project. We have made all necessary arrangements to shoot both on the base and within the C-130 aircraft as we ride along with the 82nd in training exercises. We’ll actually track them in operation. We want our audience to hear their individual stories and to finally be captivated by their voices in song. The following information is provided that you might be a part of this effort.
