ASK, "Is there an unlocked gun where my child plays?" before sending your child to a playdate, caretaker, or relative’s home.
Have your teens ask about guns in the home before going on a babysitting job or entering a new group housing situation.
And especially ask about guns in the home if you know someone is in crisis and at risk of harming themselves or others.
Doing so can help prevent family fire and save lives. ASK is asimple way to help keep kids safe 🧡 Brady: United Against Gun Violence

We are heartbroken by the shooting at Wilmington Hospital and are keeping the victims, their loved ones, healthcare workers, patients, and first responders in our thoughts.
As we await confirmed details from law enforcement, we are reminded that gun violence can happen anywhere—even in places dedicated to healing. No one should have to fear for their safety while seeking medical care or while caring for others.
Today's tragedy is another painful reminder that preventing gun violence requires sustained action, not just reaction. Delaware has made important progress through evidence-based policies, but our work is far from finished. We remain committed to working alongside policymakers, healthcare leaders, law enforcement, and communities to advance solutions that make every workplace and every neighborhood safer.
We encourage everyone to rely on verified information as this investigation unfolds and to keep those affected in their thoughts.

This statistic - pulled from ATF data, thanks to our partners at Brady: United Against Gun Violence - is jaw dropping.
Strong dealer licensing laws will help drive this number down. We need to hold the bad dealers accountable.
Yes, the ATF should be doing safety inspections - but guess what? They're not happening on a recurring basis. Don't believe us? Take a look at this gun store transparency project map from Brady -- https://tr.ee/I3kWUpDHh7
Some dealers haven't been inspected since 2015.
Restaurants, bars, car seats, motor vehicles -- they're all routinely inspected for safety standards -- why should the gun industry be held to a different standard?

Protecting gun dealers shouldn't be.
What are you going to do about it? Contact your Delaware lawmaker and ask them to pass SB 300.
