Also included is the stain glass wall by Marc Chagall and the rose named after him. The wall is in a disused church in a small town in Alsace-Lorraine.🌹🌼🌸💐

🌻The Busy Little Caterpillars youth garden club made birdfeeders for their first lesson. I taught the kids about the life cycle of a sunflower as we had sunflowers blooming in our preschool garden in May. They learned how seeds feed us and other animals. The children made a bird feeder to hang in their garden to feed their birds at home. Normally we're outside for our time but it was super windy on Friday so we did the activity indoors.🐦‍⬛

💐The first meeting of our garden club’s 2026-2027 year with our new co-Presidents Sandy Kirk and Sharon Van Teyens. We celebrated our own club member Shirley Ball’s 90th birthday!🎉 🎂🎈We also had John Garner with Horticultural Corps Research Station as our guest speaker.🫐

🌻In celebration of National Garden Week, members of our garden club visited Trask Family Farm this morning to walk through their sunflower maze. The sunflowers were such a beautiful sight!🌻

Several of our club members enjoyed a day trip to North Myrtle Beach today for a wonderful program on bluebirds and we enjoyed a lovely lunch together by the water.

Today was awards day for The Little Sprouts! We celebrated all of their accomplishments with special snacks and drinks. They sent us off with an envelope full of lovely thank you notes. We wished them well as they move on to middle school!!🥰🌸🐝🪻🌹💐

🥔 On the last day of gardening at Johnson preschool the students ate boiled potatoes that they had dug up last week. We were also checking out the pumpkin plants that grew from our fall pumpkins that rotted and germinated, digging up the last of the potatoes, and tasting our beautiful green beans.
