Eden Village Donation: On September 21, 2026, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 presented a $600 check as a donation to Julia Manuel at Eden Village to help four Awesome Army Veterans who live there. The four Veterans are Jerome, Sam, Carl and Robert (he was not available today). Jerome is a Purple Heart' recipient. Sam's 61st birthday was today, and Mary and Christina Boston and other Unit 10 members presenting the check sang Happy Birthday to him. Each Veteran received an Army Military Hat, a Wooden Bracelet and two Miliary Pins. They were thanked for their Service & Sacrifice. Mary Boston said "they were happy to meet us, and the most important thing is we put a smile on their faces today and let them know they are in our prayers. It was a Hugh Blessing to meet them. To "GOD" be all the Glory" Amen."

Eden Village-- Tiny homes in Wilmington for homeless Veterans and others. Mary Boston and Phyllis Mannix visited Eden Village to see how best to support previously homeless Veterans. Photos show a tiny home and Mary and Phyllis with an Army Vietnam Purple Heart Veteran (previously homeless) who now lives in Eden Village and considers it his "forever home." Phyllis is holding the Veterans Purple Heart Coin. To stay in Eden Village, residents have to learn how to work and get back on their feet. Recently, film crews for RJ Decker were in Eden Village and residents got paid for being film extras. If you get a chance, please take a tour of Eden Village.
The Auxiliary thanks Eden Village for all they do.
