American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10, Wilmington, NC Awesome ladies serving Veterans in Wilmington, NC. Auxiliary Meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month in Post 10 Hall from 6:30-7:30 PM.

The American Legion Auxiliary Mission Statement
In the spirit of 'Service Not Self', the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace, and security.

National Poppy Day is May 22, 2026. Each year Auxiliary Unit 10 members distribute poppies during May at different locations in Wilmington. Donations received support the future of veterans, active-duty military and their families with medical and financial needs.

To help with this effort, Elaine Massey collected donations for the poppy fund at Mission BBQ in Wilmington NC on May 16, 2026.
Luna, the poppy puppy, made a donation and wore the poppy on her collar.

Also, we had Auxiliary members at Sawmill distributing poppies (see table set-up).

Teacher Appreciation Bags to Mosley Career Readiness School. On May 15, 2026, Mary Boston & McKinley Boston delivered Appreciation Bags to teachers at Mosley. Kristen Tackett (who sings with her Dad "Mr. Sinatra" for our Sinatra Dinner Theater/Appreciation night out for our Post 10 Veterans) is a teacher at Mosley! It was a Great Day and Yes everyone received a Huge Hug for all they do!!. They Loved it! We had so much fun!😀😀🎁❤️❤️🇺🇸

Card Show May 2, 2026: Another very busy, successful day. Thank you to the Auxiliary for working in the kitchen and cooking and serving food once again. Thank you for all you do! It is Greatly Appreciated!
Also, Thank You to Chris who runs the Card Show. The place was packed. Good Food and Good Fun! Great Combination.

Marine Quarter Action May 9, 2026: It was a very successful evening all the way around. The Auxiliary cooked and served food in the kitchen while Miss Sarah held a Quarter Action for the Marines. We were very busy, but had lots of fun. Hugs to you all!!
Also, McKinley Boston and Fin helped get some of the items ready for the Auction (and the Card Show). Thank you to both for your help. It was much appreciated.

Appreciation to Laney Honor Society. McKinley Boston (Youth Chairperson for Purple Up Day) went to Laney High School to present students with a Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteering with the us for the Sinatra Dinner Theater, 2024 & 2025 and for Volunteering with us for "Purple Up Day", 2025 and 2026. Pictures include the two teachers who are in charge of the Laney Honor Society, the Student Board of Laney Honor Society as well as the New President of 2026/2027. These Laney Honor Society Students have always done an outstanding job. Their willingness to Volunteer with us is greatly appreciated.
