Today’s Independent Living & Housing Round Table II was nothing short of amazing.
Thank you to my incredible IRI team for showing up and making today possible. And a special thank you to Senator Russell Huxtable, Dave Callahan of NeighborGood Partners, Dan Bond, Sunny Gyani, John McNeal of SCPD, and all of the Independent Living Network partners, service providers, advocates, and community leaders who came to the table today.
Your passion and commitment to the individuals we serve were evident in every conversation. More importantly, your dedication to advancing independence, accessible housing, choice, and opportunity for people with disabilities was inspiring.
Today wasn’t simply about discussing the challenges. It was about bringing the right people into the same room to begin identifying solutions, building partnerships, and determining what we can accomplish together.
As we move forward, Independent Resources, Inc. will continue to make space for these conversations—but we will also work to turn conversation into action. We remain committed to serving our community, strengthening our partnerships, and advocating alongside the people we serve as we work toward a more accessible and independent tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who had a seat at the table. Now, the work continues.
