Happy National Surveyors Week! Observed from March 15 to March 21 this year, it was first proclaimed nationally by President Ronald Reagan on February 13, 1984, to recognize the historical and ongoing importance of the surveying profession.
The purpose of this week's observance is to educate the public about the role of surveyors in land development, infrastructure, and mapping. It also encourages students to consider surveying as a career.

There is still time to register for the DAS 2025 Conference & Expo to be held in Rehoboth Beach on November 12 & 13. There is a special registration rate for "Unlicensed Technicians" that may benefit those workers in your firm who are not licensed as professional surveyors but who work in the field or other areas of your company. They can attend any of the classes offered during the two days at a reduced rate. There will also be someone available to answer questions regarding the CST program and testing sessions.

Have you registered for the November conference? No? There is still time and there are still openings in all classes. Gary Kent and Mack McCarty will be among the speakers and their classes always fill up quickly, no matter what state they are speaking in! AI will also be addressed as it pertains to the surveying profession. There is a special rate for Survey Technicians. Contact DAS either by email or through the website for registration information. There are still two vendor booths available as well. Everyone from any state is welcome to attend!
