As America celebrates 250 years of independence, the Delaware Association of Surveyors proudly honors surveyors, pioneers and public figures whose measurements helped define a new nation. Since the earliest colonial surveys to today's advanced geospatial technologies, the surveying profession has been essential to building our communities and safeguarding property rights. This Independence Day, the Delaware Association of Surveyors proudly celebrates the people, past and present, whose work has helped define our nation. From George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to Caesar Rodney and the legendary Mason & Dixon, the profession of land surveying has been woven into our country's history since its founding.

This Independence Day, we celebrate not only America's freedom but also the enduring legacy of the surveyors who helped shape its borders, protect property rights, and lay the foundation for generations to come.
