DANA is saddened to learn of the passing of Becca Johnson, a familiar face and guiding presence in Delaware's nonprofit community. Becca dedicated her life to nonprofits, most recently serving as the development director for The Challenge Program and on the board of Project New Start.

Our nonprofit community better for having had Becca as part of it. We all will miss her spirit, energy and compassion. DANA sends its thoughts to her family and friends in this difficult time.

The story of Delaware began long before it was called Delaware.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the Indigenous peoples who have called this land home for generations, including the Nanticoke and Lenape, and recognize their histories, cultures, contributions, and continued presence in our communities.

We’re especially proud to count the Nanticoke Indian Association among DANA’s nonprofit community. May today be an opportunity to listen, learn, and recognize the people whose connection to this land reaches across generations.
