💵 Senate passes fiscal 2027 operating budget

In today's Update from the Hall, James Bush shares details about the $7 billion budget, including some wins for the nonprofit sector:

* $5.1 million to support a 10% rate increase for Purchase of Care for child care.

* $10.6 million for Direct Support Professionals rate increases under the McNesby Act.

SB 335 heads to the House for consideration.

The Superstars in Business Award honors businesses and nonprofits for their outstanding achievements and model approaches to business and management. Each year, up to 4 winners are selected to be named a Superstar in Business. To be considered, you must submit an online application that consists of questions about your business philosophy and results, what makes you stand apart from competitors, business challenges, and community involvement.

Advocacy. Learning. Connection.

Last week, the DANA team attended the National Council of Nonprofits' Confab in DC, joining nonprofit leaders from across the country to discuss the issues shaping our sector.

From meetings with Delaware's Congressional Delegation to conversations with nonprofit leaders nationwide, we explored challenges, shared ideas, and identified opportunities to strengthen our work.

The road ahead isn't always easy, but one thing is certain: nonprofits continue to show up, adapt, and make a difference in communities every day.

We're proud to bring that energy and those insights back to Delaware. 💙
