I am just realizing now that I never wrote a closing message after KHG was wholly subsumed by the National Brain Tumor Society (www.braintumor.org) and I officially left the organization in February 2012. My apologies for that oversight. The National Brain Tumor Society is leading the way in funding research to find a cure. They also hold more community events for brain tumor patients and their families than anyone else across in the country. As such, if you've been affected by this disease and you want to fight back, I encourage you to get to know them. With that said, if you are a brain tumor patient and you are looking for support and/or treatment advice from a qualified specialist, I would encourage you to reach out to either the American Brain Tumor Association or the Chris Elliott Fund. Finally, if you need to reach me directly, you can find me at the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement. While I am no longer on the "frontline" of the battle against brain tumors, I'm still deeply committed to the cause. In addition, I will always be grateful to everyone who helped me to keep on keeping on when Kelly passed away and who helped to make my dream a reality by pushing the GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME Awareness Campaign into the national spotlight. Thanks and God bless!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. This means effecting change in the system at all levels.
