What is Dart ILM?

In September of 2018, Wilmington NC was at the eye of the storm when Hurricane Florence made landfall and stayed for several days. High wind, storm surge, and historic river levels left a wake of devastation and thousands of homes in ruin in New Hanover county and adjacent areas. In this hour of darkness we believe that the local churches, have a calling to shine the light of Jesus by entering the lives of affected people as his hands and feet.

Disaster Assistance Relief Teams of Wilmington (Dart ILM or Dart) is a ministry focused on mobilizing response teams in areas affected by natural disaster in the greater Wilmington NC area. We exist due to the combined efforts of Venture Church and Cape Fear Christian Church in partnerships with I.D.E.S. (international Disaster Emergency Services.)

Dart ILM was born out of the needs that arose in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence and will continue operation as long as the needs and ability to serve exist.

Dart’s leadership operates under the 501(c)3 of Venture Church and has formed a board of directors to approve the use of funds allocated to Hurricane Florence relief from other outside sources. They also operate under the accountability of the elderships of Venture Church and Cape Fear Christian Church
